Another powerful explosion occurred on the far side of the Sun. This was reported on February 6 in the Telegram channel of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Another very strong explosion on the far side of the Sun. It doesn't matter at all, since active centers in the Sun now live for about a week," the report says.

It is noted that in a few days, with a high probability, only fragments of the ejected solar matter can reach the Earth. The scientists also pointed out that the active solar area, located on the side facing the Earth, retains the potential for activity for about another day. After that, it is expected that it will either lose its ability to flare, or complete its active phase without new energy emissions.

On February 4, the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the IKI RAS announced that the first disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field caused by high solar activity would begin on February 5. However, magnetic storms are still forecast as weak. This will happen due to the fact that the centers of solar activity began to affect the Earth only recently.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
