After an emergency with a freight car derailment at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov region, 39 long-distance passenger trains continue to be delayed en route. This was reported on February 6 in the Telegram channel of the Federal Passenger Company (FPC).
"Currently, 39 long-distance trains are delayed en route. In particular, six trains are following a modified route," the message says.
At the same time, 47 trains have already arrived at their destinations.
The FPC noted that the staff of the train crews provide passengers with the necessary assistance, and a comfortable temperature regime is maintained in the cars. Railway workers are taking measures to reduce the time trains deviate from the schedule.
On February 4, the press services of Russian Railways reported on the derailment of freight train cars from the tracks in Michurinsk, Tambov region. The incident that caused the fire was recorded at 15:34 Moscow time. Later, the flames were localized, and a day later they were completely extinguished. 47 firefighters and 20 units of special equipment were involved in the process of eliminating the fire.
A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety and operation of railway transport, resulting in major damage"), which led to delays and cancellations of passenger trains.
