In Krasnoyarsk, the former head of the investigative unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region is accused of taking a particularly large bribe. This was reported on February 6 in the Telegram channel of the SU IC of the region.
According to the investigation, in 2021-2022, he participated in the investigation of the case of illegal logging in the Ilansky district, during which the entrepreneur had to compensate for damages of 182 million rubles. The accused agreed with the businessman to reduce the amount of damage to 109 million rubles in exchange for the construction of a cedar house worth more than 9 million rubles.
"The accused is under house arrest. At the request of the investigation, the court seized his property in the amount of more than 19 million rubles. The criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor's office to resolve the issue of approving the indictment and then sending it to court for consideration on the merits," the Investigative Committee said.
On February 4, the FSB Directorate for the Novosibirsk Region reported the detention of an employee of the Vector State Scientific Center for Virology and Biotechnology. He is suspected of accepting a bribe in the amount of more than 4.7 million rubles for conducting research on biological samples in violation of the established procedure in the interests of a commercial organization. In addition, the employee is charged with embezzlement of the company's funds allocated within the framework of the national project "Science and Universities".
