Liya Galeeva, a kindergarten teacher from Buguruslan, who neutralized a man with a knife who attacked a preschool, will be presented with an award. This was announced on February 5 by the Governor of the Orenburg region Evgeny Solntsev.

The head of the region noted that he personally contacted the teacher after the incident. According to him, the woman showed courage and determination by standing up for children in an emergency situation. As a result of the incident, she received cuts, but she was promptly provided with the necessary medical care.

"I believe that such actions should not go unnoticed. Let's present the educator for the award. The dedication and determination of a woman are admirable," he noted in his Telegram channel.

In addition, the governor expressed gratitude to the entire kindergarten staff for their timely response.

On the same day, the head of Buguruslan, Dmitry Dyachenko, said that a man armed with a knife entered a kindergarten, where, according to preliminary data, he broke down the door. It was clarified that at the time of the incident, the staff of the institution managed to press the alarm button. One of the teachers, Liya Nailevna Galeeva, got in the way of the attacker. As a result of the incident, the teacher was injured. She was helped. At the same time, none of the minors were injured.
