- The government has allocated about 1.3 billion rubles to support residents of the Kursk region.
The Russian government has allocated an additional almost 1.3 billion rubles to provide assistance to the affected residents of the Kursk region. This was reported on the government's website on February 5.
"Almost 1.3 billion rubles will be allocated to the Kursk region <...> The order has been signed," the message says.
It is specified that the funds are intended to pay compensation for rental housing for the period from January to March 2026. Almost 21 thousand families of the region will receive payments. This will allow timely reimbursement of expenses incurred by citizens.
The press service of the Government of the Russian Federation reported in June last year that additional funds in the amount of 33 million rubles had been allocated to help the affected residents of the Kursk region. It was noted that 3 thousand people will receive financial support, and its amount will be 10 thousand rubles. The funds will be allocated from the Government's Reserve Fund.
