In the case of a long smoke break on the part of an employee, his employer may not pay for the unworked time. This was announced on February 5 by Tatyana Golubeva, senior lecturer at the Department of Business, Labor and Corporate Law at the Presidential Academy.

"If an employee has not worked the required working hours due to delays, smoke breaks, tea parties and other breaks, then the employer should not pay for this unworked time," she said in an interview with TASS.
