Finnish President Alexander Stubb forgets that his country was a Nazi satellite. This was stated on February 1 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in an interview with TASS.

"When Finland was defeated as a Hitlerite satellite, for some reason they forget about it, Mr. Stubb forgets about it all the time, but they were a Hitlerite satellite, so they were forgiven and began to develop good constructive relations with them," Medvedev said.

He recalled that during this period, the "Paasikivi-Kekkonen line" was developed in Finland's foreign policy, which ensured the peaceful coexistence of states with different social systems. According to him, a significant part of the medium-quality goods produced by Finland ended up in the Soviet Union. Due to this, Finland existed, Medvedev noted.

On January 27, Olga Poussinen, Candidate of Philological Sciences, writer, Doctor of Philosophy, a resident of Finland, said that Finland did not recognize its role in the siege of Leningrad and participation in the war on the side of Nazi Germany, perceiving it as a "continuation war" for independence. According to her, the topic of Finland's participation in the war on the German side is painful and is sharply rebuffed, and attempts to discuss it are often thwarted by claims that the country "did not get dirty" in an alliance with Hitler.
