Moldovans reported massive power outages in several districts of the country to Izvestia on January 31. According to local residents, the lights went out at about 10:15-10:20, which caused disruptions in traffic lights and water supply.

"The boiler is clearly not working. The lights were turned off two hours ago...> My daughter says that <...> nowhere (light. — Ed.) No. The traffic lights are not working," said one resident of Moldova.

According to another citizen, attempts to contact the management companies did not bring results, as no one answered the phone. They also expressed concern about the lack of information about the causes of the outages and possible consequences for the water supply system, as pressure is expected to decrease.

On January 31, Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban announced that power outages had been recorded in Chisinau and some regions of Moldova on Saturday morning. According to him, this situation is recorded in most districts of the capital. According to the information of the state enterprise "Unified Distribution Electric Networks" in the Telegram channel, the accident at the Moldavskaya GRES in Transnistria led to power outages.
