The average age of fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) currently exceeds 40 years. This was reported on January 30 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"According to various sources, the average age in the Ukrainian army is 40 years old, and this figure is rapidly approaching the 50 mark," RIA Novosti reports.

The representative of the law enforcement agencies added that if earlier the age-old mobilized consisted of only a few little-known brigades, such as the 32nd separate mechanized brigade, now this is typical for all formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
