If the situation in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) does not change, it will finally go to the periphery. This was announced on January 30 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko at the Rossiya Segodnya International Multimedia Press Center

"If the situation in the organization does not change, then its fate is sad. It will finally go to the periphery of the main processes," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

The West uses the OSCE as an instrument of confrontation and hybrid warfare, which it has unleashed against Russia, Grushko said. He stressed that the place that Moscow assigns to this organization in its priorities corresponds exactly to the situation in which it finds itself now.

Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, announced on January 22 that the Russian Federation was ready to return to work in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly if it rejected Russophobia. He also added that the European security system is deteriorating. According to him, the OSCE must balance its agenda in such a way that it reflects the concerns of all participating states without exception.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on January 20 that NATO and the European Union (EU) were experiencing a profound crisis, while the OSCE was "breathing hard." After the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO, the EU and the OSCE, according to him, began to be used to introduce Russia's traditional influence into regions, including the South Caucasus, Central Asia and the Far East.
