The Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar has chosen a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for two months for the former vice-governor of Krasnodar Territory Anna Minkova. This was reported on January 29 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

"The Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar has granted the request of the investigation to choose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest against Anna Minkova, accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The term of the measure is two months, i.e. until March 27, 2026," the press service of the regional courts clarified.

According to the court's decision, Minkova cannot go outside as part of her arrest. However, walks are provided for her from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. In addition, she is not allowed to use the Internet or communicate with other defendants in the criminal case.

Minkova was detained on January 27 on suspicion of fraud in the healthcare sector. At the same time, law enforcement officers conducted searches in the office of the Minister of Health of the Krasnodar Territory Evgeny Filippov. According to Izvestia, they are connected with the Minkova case.

In October last year, the ex-deputy governor of Kuban announced her resignation on her Telegram channel. Minkova served as Vice Governor for 10 years, starting in April 2015. During this time, the official was in charge of the social sphere of the Krasnodar Territory.
