Alexey Zhamnov, the head coach of Spartak Moscow hockey Club (HC), was unable to attend the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match against Lada Togliatti due to the birth of his son. This was reported on January 28 in the Telegram channel of the Moscow hockey club.
"Congratulations to Spartak head coach Alexei Yuryevich Zhamnov and his wife Ekaterina on the birth of their son!" the club said in a statement.
