Kyrgyzstan has filed a lawsuit against Russia in the court of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) due to problems with the issuance of compulsory health insurance (CHI) policies to family members of migrant workers. This was announced on January 27 by Azamat Mukanov, Chairman of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of Kyrgyzstan.

"The Russian side refuses to issue compulsory health insurance policies to family members of migrant workers. The Kyrgyz side appealed to the EAEU court on this issue," Mukanov said.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan believes that the agreements adopted within the framework of the EAEU are being violated. He clarified that one court hearing had already taken place, and a decision was expected within two weeks.
