Electricity supply in Severomorsk has been restored after damage to power transmission lines due to adverse weather conditions. This was announced on January 27 by the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis.
"The power supply has also been restored in the small town of Severomorsk," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
The governor added that a targeted renovation of houses and apartments will be carried out in the near future.
On the same day, Chibis announced the restoration of full power supply in Murmansk. He noted that work is continuing in individual houses and apartments to further adjust the supply of electricity, which is related to the technical features of the operation of indoor networks.
On January 26, the Governor of the Murmansk Region announced that all key facilities and strategic enterprises in the region were provided with electricity. He also stressed the need to increase investments in network infrastructure after the incident with the collapse of power lines in the region.
Prior to that, on January 25, Chibis announced the introduction of a state of emergency in the region due to the protracted nature of the accident in the power system. At the same time, Murmansk Mayor Ivan Lebedev said on January 24 that due to the blackout in the city, they began to open street help points where they can charge electronic devices and get groceries.
