In the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, a ski tourist was attacked by a snow leopard while trying to take a close-up picture of it. This was reported on January 26 by the Daily Star portal.

The incident occurred in the evening in Fuyuan County, when the woman was returning to the hotel after skiing. Noticing a wild leopard in the distance, she decided to get closer to take a clearer picture. In pursuit of the perfect shot, she approached the animal by three meters. At that moment, the leopard suddenly attacked, biting the woman's face and knocking her down.

As a result, ski poles were used to scare off the leopard. The woman was rushed to the hospital, but serious injuries were avoided thanks to a protective helmet.

According to the portal, the victim was taken to a medical facility. Her condition is stable, there is no threat to her life, she added. "Газета.Ru ".
