The military Court of Appeal upheld the 28-year prison sentence for mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Lamberd Akhyadov on charges of murdering an inspector of the Moscow Administrative Traffic Inspectorate (MADI) in Moscow's Zaryadye Park, as well as a number of other articles, including terrorism. This was announced on January 27 by the athlete's lawyer Denis Sagach.

"The Court of Appeal left the sentence unchanged," the lawyer said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
