US President Donald Trump has invited Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to join the "Peace Council" on Gaza. This was announced on January 20 by the press secretary of the head of the Armenian government, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
"Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received an official invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the Peace Council as a founding member," Baghdasaryan wrote on her Facebook page (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
Baghdasaryan later said that the Prime Minister accepted the invitation and reaffirmed the country's commitment to "promoting peace."
On the same day, the American president threatened France with wine duties if it refused to join the "Peace Council." According to him, he will impose duties of 200% on these products, and then French President Emmanuel Macron will agree to accept his invitation.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on January 19 that Russian President Vladimir Putin had also received an invitation from the United States to join the "Peace Council" for the settlement of the Gaza Strip.
