Kamchatka authorities will turn to the federal center for support in eliminating the consequences of powerful cyclones, which have become the strongest in the last ten years. This was announced on January 20 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Solodov, in his Telegram channel.

"The road workers have mobilized as much as possible — a lot of equipment is working, people are working hard. But we must objectively admit that today there is no necessary amount of specialized high—speed equipment in Kamchatka," Solodov wrote.

The head of Kamchatka noted that the region had enlisted the support of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Yuri Trutnev to allocate equipment.

"First of all, these are high—performance augers, as well as the necessary equipment for the evacuation of patients and the work of ambulances in conditions of inability to access entrances," he added.
