Besprozvannykh responded with a quote from Nevsky to the words about the blockade of Kaliningrad

Alexey Besprozvannykh, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region, commented on the statement about a possible blockade of the region by NATO. He wrote about this on January 19 in his Telegram channel.

The reason for the reaction was the words of former Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Darius Yurgelevicius, who stated that NATO had a scenario for a blockade of Kaliningrad in the event of a clash with Russia.

Alexey Besprozvanikh responded with a quote from Sergei Eisenstein's film "Alexander Nevsky", accompanied by its translation into Lithuanian.

"An ill-considered statement by the former Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania caught my eye. I would like to answer this with a shot from a famous movie. And to make it come to him faster, in a language he understands: Kas su kalaviju pas mus ateis, tas nuo kalavijo ir us (whoever comes to us with a sword will die by the sword)," the governor wrote.

Experts are convinced that the militarization of the Baltic States can lead to dangerous consequences.

Earlier, on January 15, it was reported that Darius Yurgelevicius announced a scenario allegedly developed by NATO for a blockade of the Kaliningrad region in case of a direct conflict with Russia. According to him, the blockade of the region is considered as one of the possible options for confrontation. At the same time, he pointedly refused to use the name Kaliningrad, claiming that the city allegedly has nothing to do with Russia.
