Krasnov spoke about personnel changes in the Russian judicial system

On January 19, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia Igor Krasnov announced personnel changes and reforms in the judicial system aimed at improving its efficiency.

"The judicial system is a living organism. It cannot be static. The structure of legal relations is changing, the digital transformation of many spheres of life is taking place, and new legal disputes are emerging. These factors inevitably affect personnel policy," he said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.

According to the newspaper, as part of the reforms, it was also planned to increase the incomes of judges and employees of the judicial system.

Krasnov explained that regional judges will raise their level through internships at the Supreme Court, during which they will analyze errors of lower instances and participate in the formation of legal precedents. According to him, this practice has contributed to the development of unified approaches to law enforcement.

The head of the Supreme Court also announced personnel changes in a number of significant positions in the Russian judicial system. He noted that these decisions were dictated by the need to improve work efficiency and did not mean abandoning continuity. In particular, the changes affected the leadership of the Judicial Department, the Council of Judges of Russia and individual departments of the Supreme Court.
