The word "goyda" can be used in the essays of the Unified State Exam, subject to a certain context. This was announced to TASS on January 16 by Andrey Grigoriev, Acting Head of the Department of General Linguistics at the Institute of Philology of the Moscow City Pedagogical University.

The expert explained that the word is recorded in the explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language in the form of a "guide".

"It is labeled "colloquial" and "colloquial" in dictionaries, so it is unlikely to be appropriate in such types of school essays as description, reasoning and narration," he said.

At the same time, according to the philologist, the word can be used, for example, when discussing the popularity of Internet memes, which actively displace classical phraseological units among young people.

Grigoriev also noted that the word "goida" ("gaida") has two spelling variants. As an interjection or exclamation calling for immediate action, it has been used in Russian literature since the 19th century. In addition, according to him, the term is found in descriptions of Russia by foreign travelers and is attributed to Tsar Ivan the Terrible and his entourage as an emotional interjection used to approve the executions of traitors.

On January 15, Natalia Kozlovskaya, Head of the Department of Russian Language at the A. I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University, said that the use of the Anglicisms "ok" and "okay" in the composition of the Unified State Exam (USE) was unacceptable. According to her, this word is not in dictionaries, and as an alternative in essays, you can use "yes", "good" and "excellent".
