European politicians are beginning to consider the possibility of resuming contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported on January 14 by The European Conservative (TEC).

"The unthinkable is currently being prepared in the European Union <...> There are signs that Europe is preparing for negotiations with Moscow," the publication says.

It is noted that such a turn would mean a serious departure from the previous course of the European Union (EU), focused on confrontation with Russia, which did not bring the results expected by the West.
