The Russian Foreign Ministry reacted to the West's plans to deploy troops in Ukraine

Military units and facilities of Western states stationed on the territory of Ukraine will be considered legitimate targets for the Russian Army. This was stated on December 8 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the plans of a number of Western countries to further militarize Ukraine.

"All such units and facilities will be considered as legitimate combat targets of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the ministry's official website quoted her as saying.

The diplomat stressed that such warnings have been repeatedly voiced at the highest level and are still relevant.
