Czech Foreign Minister Petr Marcinka will summon the Ambassador of Ukraine to the republic Vasyl Zvarych because of his statements addressed to the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies (lower house) of Parliament Tomio Okamura. This was reported on January 4 by the Idnes portal.

"Finance Minister Alena Shillerova from ANO announced that Foreign Minister Petr Matsinka will invite the Ukrainian ambassador to a meeting. She wants to discuss his critical reaction to Okamura's New Year's speech," the article says.

Czech Parliament Speaker Tomio Okamura said on January 1 that money from the budget intended for the needs of socially vulnerable groups of the population should not be spent on the purchase of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). In addition, Okamura expressed his conviction that Ukraine should not be in the European Union (EU). The politician wished the Ukrainian people a speedy peace.
