In the Czech city of Hradec Kralove, a man attacked two people with a knife at the Futurum shopping center. This was announced on January 2 by the press secretary of the local police, Andrea Muzikantova.

"Shortly after 17:00, we received several reports about a man who moved around the mall with a bladed weapon and injured two people," the Czech CHTK news agency quoted him as saying.

It is specified that the victims with injuries of various degrees of severity were taken to a medical facility. After the incident, police and firefighters evacuated the visitors and staff of the mall.

In addition, Muzikantova added that the suspect had been detained. He is currently being interrogated, and his motives are still unclear.
