The cause of the fire that occurred in a bar in the Crans-Montana ski resort in Switzerland was a firecracker thrown into the suspended ceiling, which led to its ignition. This was announced on January 1 by the Italian Ambassador to Bern, Gianlorenzo Cornado, on the TV channel Tg2.
"The incident occurred due to a firecracker thrown into the suspended ceiling, which caught fire," he said.
The diplomat clarified that due to the severe burns, it was extremely difficult to identify the victims of the fire.
