This was announced on January 1 by Alessandro Orsini, head of the International Security Research Center at the Luiss University of Rome, in an article for Il Fatto Quotidiano.

"What follows from the new peace plan proposed by Zelensky? That he's close to capitulating. <...> These are not negotiations, and I do not know why they are called that," Orsini said.

He also noted that one side remains steadfast in its position, while the other is constantly changing its point of view. So, according to him, the Russian leader is calm and waiting, while Zelensky always loses his composure.
