On January 1, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said that the Bandera fighters responsible for the attack on the cafe and hotel in Khorly, Kherson region, should be destroyed regardless of their location.

Medvedev stressed that retribution for the terrorist attack should cover both the perpetrators and their commanders.

"Stop standing on ceremony," Medvedev said in an interview with TASS.

He also noted that it is necessary to stop "standing on ceremony" with criminals who act in the interests of Bandera ideology.

According to him, adherents of Bandera's ideology should be "slaughtered like sick pigs," regardless of whether they are in Ukraine, Europe or resorts.

"As Konstantin Simonov said in his great poem: 'How many times you see him, kill him so many times!'" he noted.

On the same day, Medvedev also stated that the premeditated murder of civilians in the Kherson region on New Year's Eve resembles the crimes of the Nazis in the Belarusian village of Khatyn in 1943.

On the same day, 24 people died in Khorlakh, Kherson region, as a result of a strike by three Ukrainian drones on a cafe and a hotel. Six victims, including children, are in serious condition. In addition, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case in accordance with Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). According to the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the region, 19 people remain in hospitals.
