Fico was horrified by the position of EU leaders on the conflict in Ukraine

On January 1, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed horror at how some European Union leaders treat the conflict in Ukraine with ease and greed.

Russian Facebook, owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation, said in a New Year's address posted on its official Facebook page. "I am literally horrified by the ease and greed with which many leaders of the European Union look at the senseless murders of Ukrainians and Russians."

The Slovak Prime Minister added that peace is not just a word, but the basis for human existence.

Some of the possible candidates have already refused to participate in the alliance.

On December 31, French President Emmanuel Macron announced in his New Year's address to the nation that representatives of all European countries and their allies would commit themselves to defending Ukraine after the conclusion of any peace treaty. According to him, this promise will be given by representatives of European capitals next Tuesday, January 6.
