The former rector of Tomsk Polytechnic University was acquitted.

The Court of Appeal granted the appeal of the Prosecutor's Office of the Tomsk Region and overturned the acquittal of Dmitry Sednev, the former rector of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), who was accused of abuse of office. This was reported on December 30 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the region.

"The prosecutor's office has achieved the cancellation of the acquittal of the former rector of TPU, accused of abuse of office," TASS quoted the text of the statement.
