Pakistan's Prime Minister calls attack on Putin's residence a threat to peace
The attack by the Ukrainian side on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region poses a threat to peace and security. This was announced on December 30 by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif.
"This heinous act poses a serious threat to peace, security and stability," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to the Prime Minister, Pakistan condemns such actions by the Kiev regime, especially in the context of building efforts for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. He added that the country expresses solidarity with the Russian leader and the people of the Russian Federation.
Earlier in the day, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen noted that Ukraine's attempts to attack the residence of the Russian president indicate Kiev's panic and desperation. He expressed the opinion that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is seeking to disrupt negotiations on a settlement of the conflict and is once again choosing a terrorist path.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said yesterday that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out a drone attack on Putin's residence in the Novgorod region. According to the diplomat, 91 UAVs were destroyed by the air defense forces. There was no information about the victims or the damage received. At the same time, he added that Russia does not intend to withdraw from the negotiation process with the United States on Ukraine.
