A 13-year-old teenager who planned to commit terrorist acts in the Astrakhan region and the Republic of Dagestan was detained in Astrakhan. This was announced on December 24 by the Sovetsky District Court of the city on its website.
"During the court session, the court found that M., born in 2012, was assembling an improvised explosive device at his place of residence in order to commit terrorist acts in the Astrakhan region and the Republic of Dagestan. Moreover, he created a community in the Telegram messenger in order to train subscribers in the manufacture of explosive devices," the agency said in a statement.
It is noted that the teenager's actions were stopped by employees of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Astrakhan region in cooperation with the FSB. Due to the failure to reach the age of criminal responsibility, no criminal case has been initiated. The court placed the teenager in a temporary detention center for juvenile offenders for up to 30 days.
On the eve of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia completed the investigation of the criminal case against Andrei Byzov (listed in the register of extremists and terrorists), who was preparing a terrorist attack in the Moscow region on the eve of May 9 on the instructions of the special services of Ukraine. Byzov is accused of publicly justifying terrorism, participating in a terrorist organization and preparing to commit a terrorist act.
