Pregnant convicted women were enrolled in the Shkval unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on December 21 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"As it turned out, there were pregnant female convicts in the Squall of the 1st separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the commanders themselves took care of them," the source told RIA Novosti.
