Russian figure skater Ivan Desyatov, who competes for the United States in ice dancing, has been banned from competitions for life after allegations of sexual harassment. This was announced on December 20 on the website of the American Center for Safe Sports.

Desyatov, who has represented the United States since 2022 and performed in a duet with Isabella Flores, was threatened with disqualification after French figure skater Solen Mazing, representing Estonia, accused him of sexual assault.

According to the list of suspended athletes, the decision on a lifetime suspension is not final. Desyatov has the right to appeal this decision by filing an appeal.

The Daily Star portal, citing a source from The Sun newspaper, reported on December 1 that an ex-Premier League player had been arrested at London Stansted Airport on suspicion of rape. It was noted that the victim contacted the police a few weeks ago with a report of attempted rape. The athlete was taken to a police station, where fingerprints were taken and DNA samples were taken. After the interrogation, the suspect was released on bail, the investigation continues.
