A school golf festival from the League of Future Champions was held in Dmitrov

The best school golfers were identified in Dmitrov near Moscow. 18 teams participated in the New Year's tournament, and the winter competitions were traditionally held on a closed site. Athletes from the Dmitrov district once again demonstrated a high level of play.

"I'm training a little bit, but as far as I understand, I'm doing well. I was really nervous about it today, and I even cried a little. But I was reassured, I am very glad that we took the first place," said the winner of the tournament Miroslava Arkhipenko.

Such tournaments are excellent preparation for future professional competitions. In 2026, it is planned to begin construction of a year-round children's golf center, where children will play sports for free.

"Many schools have a desire to open a section, we have 40 open," concluded the president of the Moscow Regional Golf Federation Valery Gavrilov.

In June, Alexey Dyumin, Assistant to the President of Russia and Secretary of the State Council, held a meeting of the working group on the preparation of the autumn Sports Council under the President of the Russian Federation. According to him, the state and society should create all the necessary conditions to ensure the accessibility of sports for children and to improve physical fitness among young people.
