Moscow region authorities urged to analyze the causes of the tragedy at a school in Odintsovo

On December 16, Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov called for an analysis of everything that led to the tragedy at the Odintsovo school. According to him, it is necessary to make sure that what happened does not happen again.

"This is a real tragedy for the entire Moscow region. We need to analyze everything that led to it and do everything so that this does not happen again," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Vorobyov also expressed his condolences over the tragic incident. He stressed that what happened is a terrible cruelty that causes fear among parents.

He also addressed reporters, reminding them of the importance of ethics in covering such events. Vorobyov noted that the publication of a video from the scene of the tragedy may not only violate the law, but also cause additional pain to the affected family.

A schoolboy was attacked with a knife at a school in Odintsovo city district earlier that day. As a result of the incident, three people were injured, one of whom died. The incident occurred at a secondary school in the village of Gorki-2. According to the Izvestia source, there were no metal detectors in the educational institution. Later, it was reported that the attacker had been arrested. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
