The policy of the European Union (EU) towards Russia has long been devoid of any sound logic and resembles a theater of the absurd. This was announced on December 13 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

She noted that the EU's policy of harming Russia at any cost has already led to a very deplorable economic situation in the union itself.

According to Zakharova, disposing of her sovereign assets without the consent of the Russian Federation is an illegal act that grossly violates the norms of international law. Moscow's response to the EU's freezing of Russian assets will not take long, she added.
