- Ukraine has reported on the possible resignation of the deputy head of the office of President Tatarov
Oleg Tatarov, deputy Head of the office of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, will be fired. This was announced on December 13 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexei Goncharenko (listed as an extremist and terrorist in the Russian Federation).
"Oleg Tatarov is being fired from the office of the president. <...> Most likely, Tatarov will transfer to the GUR (Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine. — Ed.)," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Goncharenko did not specify the source of this information. However, he said that Zelensky allegedly offered the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Malyuk (listed as an extremist and terrorist in the Russian Federation) to hire Tatarov "so as not to part too badly." Nevertheless, Malyuk, according to Goncharenko, declined the candidacy.
On November 28, Zelensky dismissed Andriy Ermak from the post of head of his office after conducting searches in his office as part of an investigation into a large-scale corruption scheme known as Operation Midas. At the same time, Ermak himself convinced the president that the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist) could be behind the corruption scandal.
On December 11, the Ukrainian newspaper Strana reported. The UA said that the delay in appointing a new head of the office of the President of Ukraine has been going on for two weeks after Yermak's dismissal, reflecting a deep political crisis and a struggle for influence between political figures in the country. According to the sources of the publication, the delay is related to the confrontation over control over law enforcement agencies and access to key solutions.
