The pace of advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the special military operation zone in November was one of the highest since the beginning of the conflict. This was reported on December 7 by the British newspaper The Telegraph with reference to the Ukrainian cartographic resource DeepState.

"Russia is occupying territory in Ukraine at one of the fastest rates since the beginning of the conflict, as peace talks have stalled," the newspaper notes.

According to DeepState, Russian troops liberated about 200 square miles (more than 500 square kilometers) of territory in November, compared with 100 square miles (about 260 square kilometers) in October. The American analytical center Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirms that the speed of progress is approaching its maximum since the first months of the special operation.

The Telegraph attributes the successes of the Russian army to the stretching of Ukrainian resources along the entire front after the deployment of the best brigades and unmanned units to hold Krasnoarmeysk, which opened up opportunities for an offensive in other directions. The publication also points out that such a development could strengthen the US administration's position in the negotiations, inclining Washington to peace on Moscow's terms and to the perception of further military assistance to Kiev as ineffective.

On November 25, the US Permanent Representative to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, said that the Russian Armed Forces have a stronger position on the battlefield during their military operations. Whitaker also added that negotiations to resolve the conflict are currently underway taking into account the "real state of affairs."

On the same day, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Maxim Zhorin said that the situation of Ukraine in several sectors of the front is rapidly deteriorating and becoming critical against the background of the rapid advance of the Russian army in the special operation zone. He noted that we are talking about improving the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in all areas of the special operation.
