Former US President Joe Biden caused confusion by making a slip of the tongue during his speech at a conference in Washington, when he called the United States the "United States of America." This was reported on December 5 by The New York Post.

"As long as we keep faith, at least a little hope, we stand up and remember who we are we are the United States of America. That's who we are!" he said.

So, the 83-year-old politician, delivering a speech in an emotional tone, combined the words "America" and the English expression got it (understood?). The mistake occurred at the time of criticism of the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Biden also received an award at the event for creating one of the "most inclusive" administrations in U.S. history.

The Washington Post reported on May 30 that Biden was undergoing cancer treatment. It was clarified that the disease did not affect the organs of the ex-president other than the prostate.

On October 20, CBS announced that Biden had completed a course of chemotherapy. As the Biden representative noted, the former president rang a special bell at the end of the treatment, marking the end of therapy. His daughter Ashley also posted footage of the event on social media.
