The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation is considering the introduction of a new system for taking the Unified State Exam in Russian for applicants to engineering and natural science programs. This was reported on the Ministry's website on December 4.

"It is proposed to refuse admission to those who have passed the Unified State Exam in Russian by less than 60 points. If the applicant scored more than 60 points, the results of this exam will be counted as additional (from 15 to 25 points)," the message says.
