The Russian Space Station (ROS) will be placed in an orbit with an inclination of 51.6 degrees. This was announced on December 5 by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
"Here we are moving in parallel courses <...> We have decided on an inclination angle of 51.6 degrees for our ROS space station. Before that, the issue of 96 degrees of inclination was considered," Manturov said in an interview with RT.
According to him, India is also considering this angle of inclination for its station, which opens up prospects for parallel cooperation between the two countries in space.
On December 3, Dmitry Bakanov, the head of the Roscosmos state corporation, announced that Russia and India would interact and cooperate in the field of space. He clarified that we are talking about assistance in the fields of engine building, manned space exploration, the creation of national orbital stations, as well as personnel training and rocket fuel.
