Roskomnadzor's decision to block the American Internet service Roblox is absolutely correct and timely. This was announced on December 4 by the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Sergei Boyarsky.

"Roskomnadzor made an absolutely correct and timely decision today to block Roblox," he said in a video posted on his channel in the Max messenger.

He added that the game itself did not pose a threat, but fraud cases became more frequent in its chats, when attackers asked children to take pictures of their parents' bank cards and stole funds.

The reason was the banned propaganda

A day earlier, Roskomnadzor restricted access to Roblox due to the massive and repeated dissemination of materials promoting and justifying extremist and terrorist activities, calls for violence, and LGBT-themed propaganda (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

It was clarified that the service contained a large amount of inappropriate content that could negatively affect the spiritual and moral development of children and lead them to commit illegal acts.
