This year, Russia's main Christmas tree was found in the Ruza municipal District of the Moscow region. The main New Year's beauty is 100 years old. The height of the tree is 26 m, and the trunk circumference is 64 cm. The span of the lower branches reaches 11 m.

The experts selected the tree among 24 applicants, paying attention to its shape, smooth trunk and the condition of the needles. Modern technologies are applied to the spruce preparation process, which ensure complete safety and security during transportation and installation.

The tree is planned to be cut down on December 8, and on December 10 it will be delivered to the Kremlin, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press service of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

Traditionally, the fir tree will be transported by a special road train.
