The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has granted an appeal against the decision not to allow Russians to participate in the tournaments of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). This was announced on December 2 by the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtyarev.

"Russia has won a lawsuit in CAS against the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). Now FIS is obliged to allow Russian athletes to participate in international competitions," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Degtyarev clarified that the lawsuit was filed by the Ski Sports Association and the Russian Paralympic Committee with the legal support of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and the Ministry of Sports. The hearings were held the day before, on December 1.
