Former USSR national football team player Muntyan has died.

Vladimir Muntyan, a former football player of Dynamo Kyiv and the USSR national team, died at the age of 80 after a long illness. This was reported by the press service of the Dynamo Kyiv football club.

"Vladimir Muntyan, the legendary Dynamo player, died at the age of 80 after a long illness," the Telegram channel said.

Vladimir Muntyan became the USSR champion seven times with Dynamo Kyiv, won the national Cup twice, and also won the Cup of Cups and the UEFA Super Cup in 1975. The footballer was also a member of the Soviet Union national team, with which he won the silver medal at the 1972 European Championship.
