Russian judoka Tamerlan Bashaev won silver at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi.

In the final match in the weight category over 100 kg, the athlete lost to the participant from Mongolia, Gonchigsuren Batkhuyag.

Bashaev is the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the European champion in 2020, as well as the winner of the world championships and European championships, informs Sport-Express.

Russian judoka also took first place in the medal standings of the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi. The winners were Ayub Bliyev in the category up to 60 kg and Arman Adamyan in the weight up to 100 kg. Silver medals were won by Murad Chopanov in the category up to 66 kg, Abdul-Kerim Tasuev up to 81 kg, Idar Bifov up to 100 kg.

The second place was taken by the Japanese team, which managed to get two gold and two bronze medals. The German national team took the third position, winning two gold awards.

Russian judoka Ayub Bliev won the gold medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi on November 28, winning the first award of the highest dignity after the return of the right to Russians to compete under the flag of their country.
