Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will inevitably have to close the front if the situation, as near Kupyansk, repeats in other areas. On November 27, the Russian leader said this at a press conference following his visit to Kyrgyzstan.

"Because if everything that happened in Kupyansk continues in the areas I mentioned, then the collapse of the front will be inevitable," he said.

According to Putin, the main problem for the Ukrainian troops is the gap between losses and the possibility of replenishment of personnel.

He also clarified that in October, Ukraine lost 47.5 thousand people, while about 16.5 thousand were recruited, and about 14-15 thousand people returned from hospitals. The gap between losses and replenishment amounted to 15 thousand people and continues to increase. Putin added that there is an increase in desertion in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the same day, Putin announced that the cities of Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) were completely surrounded by Russian troops. According to the head of state, a group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has been cut off in the south of Dimitrov, it is being dispersed throughout the city, and the Russian Army is moving to its systematic destruction.
