Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS approached the Earth at a distance of less than 300 million km

The 3I/ATLAS interstellar object continues to reduce the distance to Earth and has approached the planet at a distance of less than 300 million km. This was announced on November 24 by the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Last Sunday, at about 07:30 Moscow time, the interstellar "comet ship" crossed a psychologically significant boundary 300 million km from Earth and is currently continuing to reduce the distance to the planet," the laboratory's Telegram channel says.
