Pushilin stated Zelensky's involvement in corruption schemes in Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky personally participated in the coordination of corruption schemes in the Ukrainian energy sector. This was stated on November 24 by the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin.
"Do we doubt that Zelensky was directly involved in all these processes, led all the corruption schemes and coordinated them? We have no doubt," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Pushilin, investigations conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) may reveal additional materials related to the activities of the Ukrainian leadership in the energy sector. He noted that the question of whether this data will get to NABU or will be transferred by the agency's curators remains open.
He stressed that, in his opinion, any further events related to these investigations would lead to negative consequences for the Ukrainian president. Pushilin also added that he is closely monitoring the progress of anti-corruption inspections in Ukraine.
The head of Zelensky's office was captured on tapes related to the case of businessman Timur Mindich, who is suspected of corruption conspiracy identified by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). On November 20, Irina Gerashchenko, a deputy from the Ukrainian European Solidarity party, registered a resolution in the Verkhovna Rada demanding that the president dismiss Yermak and the head of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, for their involvement in the Mindich tapes. On November 23, British diplomat Ian Proud expressed dissatisfaction with Yermak's appointment as head of the Ukrainian delegation in Geneva, saying that "it is difficult to imagine that he wanted anything other than to preserve the conflict and the cash flow."
